International Competition

Date: 12-13 May 2022
An essential element of a musician’s development is a reliable comparison of his/her skills with those of other performers. Participation in the Competition gives you such an opportunity.

The Competition will be held at the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary General Music School in Wrocław. During the next year’s edition of the ESF the competition will be held at the school level; the competition at the academic level is planned for 2023.

Master classes, lectures and multimedia presentations

Young, talented saxophonists will have the opportunity to develop their skills under the guidance of distinguished teachers from Poland and abroad. At the end of the workshops (on Friday, 1 April 2022), young saxophonists will have the opportunity to present their skills on stage.
A detailed list of lecturers will be published in spring 2022.

 

The Orchestra Project

Date: 03 and 04-06-2022

Orchestra project, participants will have the opportunity to prepare several pieces for a concert under the baton of a professional conductor. Sheet music materials for the participants of the Saxophone Orchestra will be made available on 1 June 2022. The Orchestra will perform during the Final Concert of the Forum, on 4 June 2022, in the Concert Hall of the Academy.

Concerts

Seven concerts are planned as part of the ESF 2022, with the participation of distinguished artists from the world of saxophone music. Alongside the masters, talented young people will also give interesting concert performances, diverse in terms of genres, styles and themes, including world premieres.
