European
Saxophone
Forum

Since 2016, the European Saxophone Forum has been held annually in Wrocław.
It is a meeting of pupils, students, teachers, artists and musicians with eminent personalities of the saxophone world, and its most important elements include:

  • International Saxophone Competition,
  • master classes and methodological consultations,
  • the Saxophone Orchestra project,
  • concerts,
  • planar lectures,
  • seminars and multimedia presentations,
  • exhibitions and fairs of instruments and saxophone accessories.

The Saxophone Orchestra project is an unusual undertaking involving participants who then perform as part of the Orchestra at the end of the Forum.

Feel invited to take part in the next edition of the ESF 2024

During the Forum...

Education

The ESF includes master classes, methodological consultations, plenary lectures, seminars and multimedia presentations. These high-quality classes, conducted by eminent figures in the saxophone world, enjoy great popularity among ESF participants.

Competition

An essential element of a musician’s development is a reliable comparison of his/her skills with those of other performers. We give such an opportunity to the competition participants. The CEA competition is held periodically, at the school level in even years and at the academic level in odd years.

Orchestra

The Saxophone Orchestra project is open to all participants of the Forum and is one of the elements that distinguish the ESF from other musical meetings of this kind. Every year, the orchestra is led by an acclaimed conductor and enjoys great popularity.

The ESF’s popularity and established brand means that some events have become elitist. In particular, the number of participants taking part in master classes given by renowned saxophonists is limited. Be one of the first to sing up.

Feedback from participants

Fantastic place

I have had the opportunity to participate in three editions of the ESF so far. Compared to other events of this type, what distinguishes the Forum is the thorough professionalism and great commitment with which it is organised and run, and, most importantly, the high artistic level of the participants. During the event, I had the opportunity to get to know musicians from Norway and Israel, but I also met people from practically all over Europe. I hope that the event will continue to develop in its support of young talented people.
